Schools Turn To The SAM Spady Foundation
We are committed to providing your students with an informative and valuable program on the
dangers of alcohol poisoning and binge drinking. Our program includes the showing of the
documentary "Death by Alcohol: The Sam Spady Story." We provide complimentary wallet-cards
which explain the signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning, and also furnish you a copy of
the documentary for future viewing. Our documentary is unique because it focuses on the
perspective of a female college student. Flavored liquors and advertising geared toward
young women provides powerful peer pressure to encourage binge drinking.
We Touch People's Lives
We deliver the important message that "alcohol can kill." This information empowers students
to use good judgment and drink responsibly. Students learn to take care of each other to
prevent another alcohol-related tragedy from happening.
The Sam Spady Program
We provide a one hour program to educate students on the dangers of binge drinking.
Our reasonable fee is all-inclusive and we furnish the materials to provide an effective
program for students.
Working With Students
Our presentation is geared towards students at all levels, including fraternities, sororities,
athletics, and student government, and health and wellness programs.

The SAM Spady Foundation has presented at several schools throughout the United States. You can view a list of
those schools here.
Below are just a few testimonials we have received. You can view more by visiting our testimonials page.
"The presentation was well received and really hit home to so many young college students. I had several chapter presidents tell me how much their new
member enjoyed the presentation and how it wasn't just another speaker, but an actual message and story."
- Bo Mantooth, Director of Greek Life, Auburn University
"The SAM Spady Foundation's presentation has made a huge impact on the campus of Vincennes University. Student come knowing that binge drinking is bad,
but leave feeling like they have lost a friend to it. The program makes students more aware of binge drinking and informs them of how to act if bad situations
involving alcohol arise."
- Lindy Martin, Student Government President, Vincennes University
"It's a great springboard for discussion in a sorority dorm or hall."
- Linda Major, project director for NU Directions, a coalition that addresses high-risk drinking at the University of Nebraska Lincoln
"Many students said the video was a wake-up call. Thank you for presenting a documentary that shows so powerfully that alcohol can kill, and what they
(students) can do to prevent that."
- Susan Moore, Instructor, Western Illinois University
"The SAM Spady Foundation has educated the masses, informed individuals, and protected our most valuable asset whom we have been trusted . . . our undergraduate
members, both present and future. After having the Foundation address our delegation and share their documentary DVD, you could have heard a pin drop. It is a rare
occasion when you get students to turn off their cell phones, stop chatting and really tune into a speaker. The Foundation's presentation is very powerful and I
would recommend to anyone."
- Mark Briscoe, Executive Director, Sigma Pi Fraternity
"Many people who have seent he documentary and listened to the presentation have told me that this dangerous aspect of alcohol has not been revealed to them before.
The completeness and raw truth of the film brings the reality of hard drinking home to many of the students, as well as parents. After watching the film, many students
tell me that: 'There by the grace of God, go I' "
- Patty Spady, Samantha Spady's mother
